Are your trees as good as the ones at garden centres?
Yes. In fact, when selecting our Premium Grade Nordmann Firs we only accept the highest quality trees from one of the UK’s leading growers, who also supply several local premium garden centres. We’re providing the same Christmas Trees that are sold by the highest quality retailers. Plus delivery is free – whichever tree you choose.
What if I’m not happy with my tree?
We’re sure that you’ll love your tree. If you don’t, just phone us before the end of your delivery day. If there’s something wrong with your tree we’ll replace it with another one as soon as we can or offer you a refund to the value of the order. You can buy in confidence that you are getting the best quality Christmas Trees available.
Can I trust you to do this properly?
Absolutely! We’ve got a team of organised volunteers who are running this fundraising project for our scout troop. We’re used to organising big projects and making sure everything goes smoothly. Our team of volunteers includes project managers, business owners and people good at running processes. Plus, we’re a scout troop – so honouring our promises and making things right is very important to us. We've run this service most years since 2007 and have successfully delivered over 1,490 trees to happy customers.
Where does the money go?
This is a fundraising project for our scout troop. We’re taking a group of scouts to Austria next summer, and are raising money for these and other projects, including making all our activities more accessible to all. Every penny we make goes directly to developing scouting at 1st Hersham Scout Troop B. We’re a registered charity and our charity number is 305801.
How are you able to offer Christmas Trees so cheaply?
As a charity, we've secured excellent value trees from one of the UK’s leading Christmas Tree growers. They’re the same trees that you’ll find at leading retailers, but we don’t have to pay for all the business overheads or make a huge profit. So the savings are passed on to you.
What if I’m out when you deliver?
You don’t need to be in when we deliver. When you order, you can provide us with details of where we can leave your tree if you are out (it needs to be at your house or with a neighbour) - look out for the "special instructions for delivery" link during checkout, and enter any relevant information. We’ll leave your tree here, at your own risk. If you don’t provide us with somewhere to leave your tree and you’re out, we’ll leave it at the most secure place we can find at your house, at your own risk.
Can I choose when you deliver?
We have two delivery days and you can pick which one you want. We’ll deliver between 8.00am and 6.30pm on these days. If you're ordering online, you'll be asked to confirm your choice of date prior to payment. We’ll do our best to meet your request. We also offer the option of a guaranteed delivery before 12pm for just £5.50 extra - to take advantage of this, simply select the "Priority Delivery" option when choosing your delivery date.
Who processes my card details?
When your order reaches the checkout stage you will be transferred to our secure site and have the option to enter your credit card details either directly or pay via PayPal. The cost to you is the same either way.
If you enter your card details directly, they will be processed by Shopify Payments and this will appear on your statement as "SP* HERSHAM TREES".
If you pay via PayPal, this will appear on your statement as "PAYPAL* HRSHMSCOUTS".
